Dilemma

I think Pete and I could use some prayer.

Right now, he's studying like crazy for the Bar, and needing me to be his helpmeet in supporting him as I offer him time and space and opportunity to study, and hopefully keep some of the house in order so he feels free to study.

Right now, I'm in the final countdown (four weeks) to my baby due date, and needing him to dwell with me with understanding as my emotions run the gamut with all the changes and tiredness ahead.

I was thinking last night that we're in a very odd place. Through the month of July, we're going to be experiencing some of the biggest changes we've ever experienced. We both have our own goals and needs for getting through this. As we both grow more and more weary, it is getting more difficult to set ourselves aside for the other in the "getting done what we have to get done."

We didn't plan the timing on all of this, but we know God knew. He will be sufficient, right?

I'm praying for you, hon. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know - particularly after I finish teaching next week (well, ok, after the 23rd, since that whole week I'll be at a teacher-training institute), I'll have time to come visit you or do anything else that is able to help, particularly in July. Just let me know!

when i was two months away from my due date, my husband decided we should give up our townhouse rental in P'ville and buy a fixer-upper in L'ville. instead of preparing a nursery for our daughter, i spent the last month of my pregnancy on my hands and knees scraping, painting, cleaning, etc. it was certainly not what i had invisioned (and probably not ideal either) but we made it work, and the Lord used it to teach me that HE will sustain me in those times when others aren't available. i so know how you feel and i'm sure that Pete would change the timing if he could! :-) praying for y'all!

I had Jade one month before JB took the WA bar. He had been study the previous four months and it was a little rough going. Lucky for me my mom and mother-in-law came out to help with the baby while JB was studying every night for the bar.
It seemed like such a huge ordeal at the time, but looking back I'm amazed at how well God worked everything out for us. I know things will go well for you both too!
