Wow, you got chewed out? Once, when I was in a 15-or-less line, the person in front of me accidentally had more than 15 items. The cashier said it was no big deal, that they couldn't turn anyone away and it was store policy that actually, ANYONE could go through that line. They just weren't advertising it.

Yup. That's what happened all right. The alarm was in the form of the very nasty cashier who chewed us out...
