Chalk Dust and Clutter

Thursday, January 15, 2009

My house is not clean anymore. There are toys scattered about the living room, clean laundry strewn across my kitchen floor, and clutter on every out-of-reach surface area in the house. And Piper discovered the clutter yesterday, learning to climb.

She discovered her Christmas chalk on top of my black-polished piano, and as I uncluttered the piano clutter in frustration, the light found her mess and made it lovely.

God knew I needed her to disorganize my life, to re-organize it, to make it more beautiful than I believed it could be when I was planning it myself. And now, I can't imagine my life without this beautiful, strong-willed, spunky, sweet little girl.

Amen! "Children are a gift from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is His reward. Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them." ~Psalm 127

I'm loving the color palette you are using in your photos. This one is very cool.

Yes! (k, sorry about your piano) I am daily amazed by the wonder and exploration of my awesome kids...something that is to easily missed in a spotless house.

Love this. And I too, need my little boys to disorganize my life. I so often try to resist it vs. embrace it.
