We Have Brought Forth Wind

"We have been with child, we have been in pain; we have, as it were, brought forth wind; We have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth, nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen."
~Isaiah 26:18

Children of the night we are
The darkness shields our eyes.
We wear a veil around our hearts—
There is no pain; no price,
No cost for the blood we shed.
We can feel no sorrow.
Etched in shades of gray,
We are shadows.

The life we live—no life at all—
It’s hard reality.
We are echoes of our past,
Living only for a dream
That will die
Because we cannot breathe.

Retching in our loneliness,
We cannot call for help.
We have made our prison.
Void of feeling,
Short on time,
We are children of the night.
Too proud to become fools,
We gained the world, we did
And now we have no light.

Old before our time,
We wait for death’s cold freedom…

At heaven’s door.

"These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."'

~Revelation 3:1-6

"Your dead shall live; together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead."

~Isaiah 26:19

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: so shall we ever be with the Lord."

~1 Thess. 4:16-17

So hard when you want to be someone else's eyes and ears, when they couldn't even sense the presence of an angel if they tried. That's when we have to trust that God's plan is better, that it is indeed for our good and His glory in ways we can't even dream... even when we can't, and perchance don't want to, understand it.
Thanks to you and your sister for coming yesterday. I can't tell you how much it meant to me. I love you.
