The Shifting(?) Mood of My Politics

I got a request this morning to sing at the Loudoun County Republican Convention. After actually getting some sleep last night, I found that I have recovered a bit of dry humor. So, instead of feeling completely overwhelmed by the request, I allowed myself a moment to imagine a somewhat creative response, instead of the usual "no, I think I will be too tired to do this..."

"Dear _________

"All is well. I will be 8 months pregnant on June 9th. Due to extreme hormonal changes during this pregnancy, I find this morning that am no longer a conservative Republican. Will this be an issue?"

This is not, of course, the reply I sent. But sending such a reply to a rabid Republican Party member would have been fun, don't you think? I LIKE shaking people up...
