Mommy, Please....

When I get dressed in the mornings after I shower, Piper often climbs up on our bed, trying to figure out how to get an angle in for a nursing.

This morning, true to form, she tried squeaking at me, then crawling over with a grin on her face. I kept dressing, trying to beat her little clock. Next, she tried her little fake "choke" to get my attention. I grinned at her and told her she was pretty funny, but I wasn't falling for it.

Finally, at her wit's end, she pleaded: "Kiss?"

She didn't get nursed, but her "Boy, do I know what I just did" grin earned her the kiss she'd requested and made her mommy's day!

Wow, all my friends with girls have kids already talking. My boys are almost 18 months and I can't be sure if they're saying anything yet. They do cry "moooooom" sometimes, but am still not sure if they mean me! :) They definitely know what certain words mean, although they don't say them though, like: bellybutton, food, outside, daddy.

Talk to me, if you like.
