Informal Moments Web Idea

Thursday, November 6, 2008

Yesterday, while Piper was napping on me at the computer, I stole some time to work on a website idea I've been formulating for a while. I've known for a while that I need a logo design of my own so I can watermark my photos, but I hadn't had time to work anything up.

I really like the logo you see here, but I'm not sure about the look of the site yet. I think I should add some color, but I could use some input before I spend any more time beating my head against the wall. Any thoughts or comments?

I like it, but it's not quite you. A bit of color may work, or perhaps adding some softening touches to the black (like rose petals in the background, or something). You're good at this, I know you'll get a great result in the end! :-)

I do like the logo, but you're right. I think some color would be really good. :)

I like the logo, but am unsure if I like the dashes in between the "photography". Will have to think on that. Like the B&W but maybe you only need to add one color to brighten it up a bit. I like the idea of the first commenter. I'm personally always a big fan of the black/white/blue combo.

Tee - thanks. I totally agree it's not really *me* yet.

Danielle, could you suggest something besides the dashes? That's the one thing about the logo I'm not so certain of. You're the designer - what does your eye say?

I think it's beautiful! A touch of color would be nice though. I'm thinking either blue, red or a peachy-pink color. Maybe highlight or a "shadow" behind "Informal Moments" and then the same color in the "by Peter and Kelly Sauer" area and a touch of it in the vertical lines around "wedding, couples, etc."
I like the idea of rose petals too..Maybe scattered across either the top or botton of the page.
'Course, I've always thought you had a much, much better eye for color and decorating than I do...so who am I to give advice.
:-p Love you!

I'm not sure . . . How does it look without the dashes but if you left the kearning the way it is. It might look fine, or not. You'd just have to try it.
