tiny find

We had a lovely weekend with some deliberate family/rest time. I think we're finally starting to feel settled enough to think about who we are as a family, a mom and a dad and a kid. Poor Piper has gotten a bum rap in her almost-21 months...

I'm planning to work my tail off this week to get ready for my Saturday wedding shoot, so I'm not thinking too deep about anything right now. We'll see how the midnight oil works, right? Seriously, pray for strength and organization for me this week. I've got so much I want to get done, and I don't know how I'm going to do it. I'm really having trouble seeing because of allergies I didn't know I had (wonderful thing, this moving to the South), and I'm trying to take extra time with Pip right now. The unfortunate thing with that is that the more I take with her, the more she wants...

L'Engle writes in The Irrational Season about the courage to have meekness - strength without pride that is revealed when it is necessary. I'm not sure exactly what that looks like, but I need it this week. Something like that little flower Pip is holding here - so tiny, yet blooming beautiful through the frost...

Time to start blooming...

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.....

Hoping the Spirit brings clarity for your mind and your allergies!
