a gripe

Monday, April 27, 2009

This post is not meant to offend anyone. I know lots of my readers have been absolutely miserable during their first three months of pregnancy (and beyond), and I'm not trying to downplay any of your horror. This is simply a personal "hurrah, I actually have a NORMAL reason to whine" sort of gripe.

I hate nausea. I hate being nauseated. It is the one thing that will reduce me to an absolutely helpless puddle of yuck. And here's the kicker, I'm not even throwing up. It's just that yicky, icky "let's be happy because we have a strong pregnancy" overactive gag reaction.

And I'm whining about it. Because I can. Because in a way, I'm really grateful I have this to whine about. (How's that for twisted logic?) It's not depression. It's not Lyme-induced. It's not even a case of the flu. It's a perfectly normal, happy, healthy reason to whine.

So, yick.

Gripe done.

I've been there too, friend. It's horrible! But always worth it.

well some women don't have the nausea symptoms though:)
lucky them!:)

I say bring on the nauseas!
I so want to feel pregnant again!
I didn't have much nauseas though at my first pregnancy just a little and I could easily handle them.

How wonderful to bear life inside
blessed be!

:-) Good for you. Sometimes I find a healthy dose of griping actually makes me feel better. It helps me acknowledge how awful I feel... and then move on.

Well, I'm new here, but I can't stop by, read something like this, and just float on by, can I?

CONGRATULATIONS on your perfectly normal, happy, healthy reason to whine =)
