I'll give you one guess as to what I've been up to the last few days...

Please check out my new website. I have chosen images for my gallery to display my photojournalistic style - the documentation of life and emotion to tell a story.

I'm using a much larger format than I have in the past, and I'm not sure how it will load for others; it's slow enough on my own computer to give me some concern, but this is what I can afford right now - a flash site is outside of our budget with another baby coming next month. I am thinking of offering a larger/smaller site splash page to let my viewers choose.

I'd really appreciate getting any feedback you may have (on site performance and/or photos - and here I must toss out a special thanks to Marguerite for her incredible email to me the other day. I SO needed that!)

Kelly,

I like your site a lot, especially the use of the black and white photos with the interspersed color images. In many ways, your B&W images are the most interesting. I particularly love the picture of the groomsmen waiting, just waiting. The music is a nice touch, too.
For some reason, the type on the About page looked blurry, but maybe that was my computer's problem. I have a pretty fast computer so the images in Gallery loaded relatively quickly. I was wondering, though, if someone who clicks on Gallery would feel stuck and not know how to get out to access the other items on the site. I knew how but I know people who wouldn't. Any way to strip the menu across so people know you can stop the rolling images at any time and get back quickly to Home? All in all, very beautifully presented work. I wish you had been my photographer. Ours was a disappointment.

I love your photos, Kelly. You really have your own style, and that's great! Your eye for detail is so wonderful.

The photos did take a long time to load, and I've got cable, but after waiting awhile, the slide show did work.

The about page didn't look blurry to me, although I did want the type bigger. When I "zoomed" in to make the type larger, then it did look blurry (assumingly because it's actually a jpg).

The one thing the website left me wondering was are you a wedding photographer only or do you do other types of sessions. It might be good to clarify that . . .

I love the clean look and the black and white palette. Makes your work really shine!
