She Knows How to Play
Monday, November 9, 2009
There is a sequence in Pooh's Heffalump Movie (Piper's new favorite movie) that features Roo and Lumpy (the baby heffalump) playing together. Piper absolutely loves this part of the movie - the kid gets "play" more than I ever have. She has learned from watching them play how to hop - which is actually "pop" to her. She "Pop-pop-pop's" from one end of the house to the other during the day when I'm lying around, wishing for this pregnancy to end.
She also loves playing with her toys. Do you know, they talk now? Yesterday, I heard the Mama toy explaining to the baby toy that "Daddy is going to work now."
"He'll be right back."
"Okay, bye Daddy," said the baby toy kissing the daddy toy.
The next thing I see, the Mom and Dad toys are kissing. Long and intimate. Smack on the lips.
WHAT does she think Daddy does at work?

AHHH! She's making her toys talk now. *sigh* And so it begins, the many-but-not-enough years of girl story-telling. I love this.
That is so cute! Glad she can entertain herself so you can get some rest these days. :-)
Delightful post, Kelly. I'm still grinning.
