On Being Still

Monday, December 14, 2009

Morning comes.

You have slept. You didn't think you could.

A cool mist shrouds the world, wrapping everything in white, swaddling tired December in wet gray.

God is silent.

He is like that sometimes. You just have to know that He is.

Your faith is weak. It is like that sometimes. You'd welcome even the pain, just to know His nearness.

It doesn't make Him speak. He doesn't have to prove He is God.

This is how we learn to be still.

I have come to believe that being still is a beautiful gift from heaven.

Oh, sweet thing.

There is so much to learn that all there really is to do is be still.

A valuable, but oh so hard lesson.

Still praying... my heart is with you. Know you are welcome to call is that would encourage you. :-)::Hug::

Just lean into Him in the stillness. He is there.

The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. It is good to read your words of stillness, today.
