Haiku for (in)Courage

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

I know I missed the deadline. I missed the post, to be honest. But I can't resist the invitation from Robin at (in)Courage.

...

sunlit silver streaks
old woman tossing her hair
caressing crystal

...

And that is all she wrote.

love it! I love haiku. It just forces you to say it as concisely as possible-- to really pick your words. Plus you don't have to come up with rhymes. ;)

Enjoyed the Haiku - but I must say what leads me to comment is the way you describe yourself "I dream big and change diapers." Loved that!

Blessings to you today,
Lori

lol - just added that yesterday, Lori! I take myself too seriously in writing sometimes, and sometimes, I just can't be serious in writing. I needed a line like that to give me permission to be both!

Thanks for the comment!

This is lovely. But I must tell you, I've been doing my usual blog rounds this morning and the moment I got here I felt all these tears well up inside - not bad tears, just a sense of deep calm that is so lovely, it stirs the waters within. There's something about your weblog, perhaps the colours, perhaps the ambience set by your spirit, that just touches me.

OH, Kelly...I missed this link when you shared it back a while ago :(. MY loss, no doubt.

Every time I visit your site, I want to STAY. Your sparse page magnifies the beauty of your words, the way you express yourself. Press on, friend.

(I'm finally compiling a email group for those who commented to previous (in)courage Creative Challenges, so I discovered this link in the process).

:)
