Disorientation, Some Housecleaning, A Photo I Love - and a Feature

Thursday, January 7, 2010

I've been disoriented today. My whole world feels a little off-kilter. Maybe it's the lack of sleep, or the fact that I haven't taken my pills today, or the hormones doing the spiral thing. One minute I'm absolutely manic trying to finish something; the next I'm ready for tear-relief - the kind that having a good cry can give you.

I spent the morning working on photography-related stuff while Piper and Bredon napped (I guess we're ALL catching up on sleep, eh?), and this afternoon saw the house-cleaning. Nothing too thorough, but at least it looks like my house again.

I don't have a real post myself today, but I officially joined High Calling Blogs yesterday (the badge has been on my sidebar for a while), and strange enough, they chose yesterday to feature the above photo on Billy Coffey's HCB post about the journeys our children may take.

How much God entrusts to us - His heart for the lives of our children...

Check out the post, and consider joining HCB yourself. I've had so much fun already getting to know the people there!

Great that you joined HCB, Kelly. (I'm officially a member, too.)

I loved the photo of Bredon on Billy's post, and the one here, which is as tender as tender can be.

I think back to my early days of being a mom for the first time; sleep didn't exist then, which was 21 years ago, and there were lots of tears, too, and sometimes I never could figure out where they were coming from. Mostly from joy, I think now.

Thinking of you and sending hugs.

I'm so glad you are sharing your self (and your photos!) with HCB. I'm enjoying getting to know you better and hope you and your world get straightened up (is that the opposite of disoriented and off-kilter?) right away.

Welcome to the HCB community, of which I am a part, and may you find peace in the midst of your newborn chaos.

When you're feeling off-kilter, kiss those teeny-tiny toes...they're precious!

Lack of sleep and hormone swings. What a combination!

Hang in there!
